Scholarship Application

NOTE: 600-750 WORD ESSAY REQUIRED AS PART OF THIS APPLICATION

Elizabeth Edgar Hall empowers women’s economic success by awarding annual scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 to students attending college at one of the following Jacksonville institutions:

  • Edward Waters College
  • Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ)
  • Jacksonville University
  • University of North Florida

We will notify you BY EMAIL if you have been selected as a finalist. If selected as a finalist, you will need to provide us with the following documentation:

  • Transcripts for ALL institutions you have attended while pursuing this degree
  • Enrollment verification
  • Financial aid award letter (can be obtained from your school)
  • FAFSA SAR report 
  • If documentation is not furnished within two weeks of request, your application will be removed from all consideration. False information will also result in your application being removed from all consideration.

APPLICANTS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR ALL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR WHICH THEY ARE QUALIFIED

SCHOLARSHIPS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Delia M. Levy Scholarship – $2,500
    Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale and have completed 3 semester hours
    Be currently enrolled and be in good academic standing.
  • Elizabeth Edgar Hall Founders Scholarship – $2,000
    Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale and have completed 3 semester hours
    Be currently enrolled and be in good academic standing.
  • Elizabeth Edgar Hall General Awards – $1,000-$2,000
    Applicant must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
    Be currently enrolled and be in good academic standing.

Scholarships for students attending FSCJ are awarded through an endowment at their institution’s financial aid office. Complete FSCJ’s general financial aid application. This will ensure you are considered for funds in our endowment at that institution. FSCJ will notify you if you have received a scholarship through the Elizabeth Edgar Hall endowment.

MEDIA RELEASE: From time to time, Elizabeth Edgar Hall may publish information about scholarship recipients on its website and in external media channels, such as recipients’ name, schools attended, age, degree pursued, and photograph. Please acknowledge that we have your permission to do this if you are awarded a scholarship.

Required Essay

All applicants must write an essay of approximately 600 – 750 words.
ESSAY TOPIC: Please tell us how you will use the scholarship money to improve your life and your community. We hope that the funds will help you to formulate goals and aspirations which will benefit you and all with whom you associate.
